Have you ever had fresh local flowers for Valentine's Day? Never? Yah me too...except this year! We have tulips in time this year. The deepest purple doubles (multiple layers of petals) that turn into burgandy as they open, and the perfect light pink doubles from right here in Cashmere, WA. No sprays or flying flowers for miles, just simple pretty farm flowers. Let me know if you would like to be on our email list, I will be sending out info later today!

It's been a crazy week around here! 10 minutes int

It's been a crazy week around here! 10 minutes into our wreath decor party the power went out, I lit all of my candles...7 in total😂 and we carried on. And it was the best! Usually there is a lot of indecision and watching others, not with the lights out, everyone just made it happen and it was so fun! Beautiful wreaths and such a fun memorable time! Praying for all who still don't have power, and who still have water everywhere!

Most good things start with flowers but if not at least with butter...especially if it's gluten free like it has to be around here! So thankful for my farmer family, what a gift they are to me. The farmer boys enjoyed muddy sledding, helping me make pies, dropping pies before they made it to dessert, the girls winning all the games (yes!!), and zero flower chores!

Tulip planting time happened this weekend! We usually have them in before the 1st of November, but this time made it feel like a holiday:) 4,000 in and waiting on another 1,000 to plant. This year we did the dump method...instead of placing each bulb individually, we've been told it works @dirtonflowers and it saved us hours of time! Everyone was happy about it:) Expect to see more of these spring bulbs popping up and ready to enjoy by April!

I have been referred to as Frugal Frances by frien

I have been referred to as Frugal Frances by friends, and since this is one of my middle names (yes I do have two of them😉) I would say it fits pretty well. I LOVE solving problems with out buying new things. Which is one of the reasons I enjoy regenerative farming, using the resources I already have to improve our soil and in turn the flowers we grow! This is garlic I'm planting in with some overwintering flowers, the garlic is YUMMY of course and it also helps with bug control, a win on both accounts! :)

One of the farm boys was asked today what he did on break this last week, his answer was "dahlias" which does seem to sum it all up:) We (😂 Zach) dug them up and cleaned them, I divided, the boys arranged and dipped the ends in cinnamon, our farmer girl made a ruckus everywhere, and we finished all of them and stored them in 1 weekend! Long days, and so glad to spend them with the ones I love:)

The last few weeks have been so full of hard thing

The last few weeks have been so full of hard things and joyful things, smokey sky's and rain!! Mamas birthday, home campouts, and ordinary days. We pull the flowers today, after finishing our last wedding of the season yesterday and we are all a little excited to slow down and enjoy the fall, thanks for your support this season!

Three years I have tried to get these little orange pumpkins growing on my farm! And we have one all cute and orange there! These are actually in the eggplant family, they have taken all season to get to this point, usually seeds come in packets of 10, and mice like to eat the seedlings...how do I know??? Yes, 2 years the mice won, but not this time:) who thinks we should grow more next year🙋‍♀️
